How Do We Prepare the Pool?
We have a basic, 5-step approach to pool preparation for jobs like plastering. This includes the whole process from the starting point of a full pool that might have been used only minutes ago.
- Powering down. Our first step is always to power down all equipment, electronics and water dynamics that might be active in your pool.
- Draining. We then drain your water from the pool.
- Cutting out. We cut around any tile that will remain to ensure that the new plaster is neat and flush with all surfaces of the pool.
- Acid washing. This cleans and etches out the pool’s substrate. This is a deep cleaning phase that often involves chipping and stripping to remove all existing plaster.
- Hydroblasting. This no-mess method thoroughly removes all dirt and loose, remaining plaster from the prepared surface.
